Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed on Sunday that the Trump administration is currently the closest it has come to securing the release of all of the Israeli hostages from Hamas. Rubio also warned that peace in the Middle East will not be possible if there is still a “threat emanating from Gaza.”
During a Sunday interview on ABC’s “This Week,” Rubio told ABC News host Martha Raddatz, “This is the closest we’ve come to getting all of the hostages released.” Rubio confirmed that the release of the hostages would include 20 individuals who are still alive and 28 who are deceased.
